I thought that only the mexican entrepreneur, Gustavo Alatriste put his money into this movie. At least that's what he said in an documentary that you can watch as an extra in "The Discreet Charm Of The Bourgeoisie" DVD released by Criterion.
That's why this movie is a co-production México-Spain. But I dunno, perhaps other people besides Alatriste, financed (in a lesser degree) this movie as well.
