Favourite scenes or quotes?

Really enjoyed the film in its entirety, but I thought the scene where Helen and Jo discuss Jo's father was particularly touching and quite poignant. Loved the quote 'Oh, Jo, why can't you learn from my mistakes? It takes half your lifetime to learn from your own.'

Too many to mention!,this beautiful film leaves so many vivid memories in the mind long after it ends, for me Murray Melvin's part is one of the best ever captured on film from that era, or perhaps any era of British cinema, his spat with the wonderful Dora Bryan when she moves in to the run down flat at the end is priceless and also at the end when he moves out of the shadows after leaving the flat to talk to Jo and then moves back in when her mother appears is beautifully played, all in all probably my favourite "kitchin sink" drama

I love the bit when, towards the end, Jo and her mum are having an arguement and chasing each other round the kitchen. Geoffrey tries to intervene and the mum stops in mid track and says something like 'shurrup, we enjoy it!' and carried on chasing Jo.
That bit made me laugh out loud.
I was a bit dissapointed however that the film ended when it did as I would loved to have known what happened to Jo and her baby.
