Does anyone know where to get the soundtrack for this? The music is mesmerising.
"Dr Einstein- A quick twist like in London, huh? Jonathan- I think it calls for something special- perhaps...the Melbourne Method Dr Einstein- [cringing] No! Not the Melbourne method please! Two hours! And then when it was all over, what? The fellow in London was just as dead as the fellow in Melbourne.
So did I. Terrible, isn't it? The 90's version wasn't even good. How can then NOT have one for the original?!
"Shelby: I knew there was something on my mind. Ah yes, will you dine with me tomorrow night? Laura: Maybe. Shelby: No, it's not that - it's the next night. And what about three weeks from tonight? And all the nights in between? Laura: Shelby, you talk as if I had no other engagements! Shelby: And two months from now? And the month after that? Laura: What about next year? Shelby: Oh, that's all settled. What about breakfast? Laura: What about dancing? Shelby: What about lunch? Beautiful lunches, day after day after day? Laura: What about work? Beautiful work, day after day after day? Shelby : Miss Hunt, the way you talk, you'd think I was in love with you! "- Laura (1944)
Unfortunately, I believe the music tracks to Les Baxter's innovative score are still lost. This is one of my all-time favourite scores and I am hoping that one day the original session recordings will be found.
