Favorite line regarding this movie

...was on an episode of Mad About You. Fran tells Jamie that she's going to go home and watch 101 Dalmations with Ryan...again. She turns to Jamie and says, "you know, I wish Cruella would just make the freakin' coat!" That cracked me up, because when my kids were little, this movie was one of their favs. Now that they're teenagers, they roll their eyes at the thought of watching one of these classic Disney movies.

What was so great about these movies (this one, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, The Rescuers, et al) is that they seem to timeless. I remember watching them when I was a kid, if they happen to be on TV because we didn't have VCR's back then (I'm 43). I also remember having a collection of Disneyland Illustrated LP's of most of these that, from what I remember, was just the audio of the entire film. The album sleeve was a "book had pictures and a condensed printed version of the story in the pages. I would put on one of those albums (Lady & The Tramp was my all-time fav for the story and I liked The Jungle Book for the music) and play with my toys in my room while listening.

Funny how times have changed - kids these days are texting and/or on the computer all the time.
