If only the animation had looked like this.

I've been going though all 51 Walt Disney Animated feature films and I just watched this. After seeing movies like Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty and even Pinocchio made almost 30 years before Dalmatians the animation in this movie just doesn't measure up. Why couldn't it have looked like this? http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101DalmatiansVHS.jpg It's far cleaner and doesn't look cheap, also why did Disney go back to the full screen format?

Read the trivia. It says something about having to save money since Sleeping Beauty flopped by changing the type of film or something. I don't know. I didn't understand it completely

I aware of reasons this movie and the movies up to late the 70s look like *beep* it doesn't mean I'm not criticize them for it.

"One Hundred and One Dalmatians" is one of the most beautiful-looking Disney animated films.
