I am baffled that this movie didn't win an Oscar for best animation. The film's animation was brilliant and from all the Disney films released in that period, 101 Dalmatians has the best artwork. :( Such a shame.

shareThe Best Animated Feature category was first implemented in 2001. Besides, a film doesn't win in that category just because it has "the best artwork." The screenplay and direction are also taken into consideration.

Even if there was a category it should not had won because of the low quality of the animation.
