why do they keep calling each other 'idiots?'

I understand when Cruella says it, but Anita said "Oh Roger, you are an idiot!" then they kissed. I don't get it

She said it endearingly, as in "you're an idiot but I love you anyway".

lolz I love how they keep calling each other idiots throughout this whole movie. I wonder if parents were concerned that little kids would start using that word after seeing this movie. Also is that a term the British use a lot, (or USED to use a lot?)

When women insult men, it's supposed to be taken as an 'endearing' comment?

If anyone said that to me after I have done something clever and expressed a genuine, creative performance to them, after opening my heart and soul to them, they would be booted out of the house so quickly they would wonder where the BDG went.

Come on, show some respect and admiration - creativity like that is difficult, and deserves some praise! But instead, what she hands out are .. insults.

She only praises him after he does something men are traditionally expected to do (which is of course a form of misandry and chauvinism against men - if women can't be expected to be good housewives who do housework and cook food, without it being called 'misogyny' (a fantasy term, because true misogyny doesn't exist) men shouldn't be expected to remain in the traditional man's role, either), PROTECTS the 'weaker ones'.

She's definitely not a strong or independent woman - she even FAINTS after Cruella's visit, although it shouldn't have been that exhausting.. and she didn't stand up for herself, or her husband, or the puppies, but PROMISED to tell Cruella about the birth of the puppies! THE TRAITOR!!

She even got ANGRY that Roger started singing bad things about this obviously evil woman. Didn't either of them ever wonder about her name? What kind of woman has - AND KEEPS - a name like that??

"Oh no, she's probably a good human being, she just murders puppies and has a reference to satan-worshipping in her name, plus identifies herself with cruelty, and has witch-powers to know exactly when the puppies are born (cleverly avoiding Anita's obligation to notify her about it, thus hiding the obviousness of her treachery), animals growl when she comes close, and her cigarette smoke seems to be some kind of tormented soul or a living, summoned spiritual entity (what cigarette produces smoke of that color?), but she's probably just a misunderstood nice girl"..

Is that what Anita thinks about her? WHY DOES SHE HANG OUT WITH SUCH LUNATICS??!!

Anita's motives just don't seem to add up or make sense..

In any case, this movie is nicely showing what traitorous snakes women are, if you look closely and realize how Anita manipulates both sides and feigns innocence and weakness. Heck, if they are such good chums, perhaps Anita and Cruella planned this whole thing together? Hmm.. well, that doesn't seem probable, though.

I mean, how could a pretty, young woman be attracted to a poor, supplicating goofball like Roger? If you read even a little bit of the basics of how PU-game works, or what PUA artists do, or know about women's psychology (especially considering attraction), you can realize either Anita isn't being honest, she has an alterior motive, or there's something really weird about the whole setup.

One possibility is that she somehow sees the future of Roger, and knows that he will be rich and famous. Some women seem to have a capability of seeing a man's "potential", which to her, translates as 'a high status man' anyway.

Well, it's a disney cartoon from early 1960s, meant for kids. So .. therefore many things don't make sense. Somehow I am not satisfied with this logic, but that's the way it goes.
