One thing I'd change though; the surprisingly sporadic music during the nautilus creature fight near the end. For such a dramatic scene, there was very little music.
Check it out next time you watch this film. It shows that music really plays a big part in movies, but esp. these kinds.

I thought the little music in the scene heightened the suspense of the creature's attack. Considering that you wouldn't really hear that much underwater, it played along with that fact.

Yippee: "For king!"
Yappee: "For country!"
Yahooie: "And, most of all, for 10¢ an hour!"
