Mr. Sardonicus/William Castle trivia question
To anybody out there who owns a DVD copy of "Mr. Sardonicus," I have a question. At the beginning of the movie, William Castle appears and does an opening monologue. He mentions the movie has to do with "gouls", and he pulls out a dictionary to look up the definition of a goul. The definition of the word "goul", according to Webster, is "an evil being that robs graves and feeds on corpses." He goes on to say, in so many words, "yes, this is quite an old-fashioned story. I hope you enjoy it." His very next line is, "and I hope your nightmares are nice ones." However, if you look closely, his mouth does not move in sync with, "and I hope your nightmares are nice ones." This, obviously means he actually said SOMETHING ELSE there. Does anyone out there know what he really says? I've played those few frames in slow motion over and over again, but I can't seem to read his lips. If someone out there knows the answer to this, please email me at [email protected]. I would really appreciate it. Its bugging the daylights outta me!
