Possible Meryl Streep connection to this movie ?????

I just watched this film again recently, and there is an actress ----- who plays the "housemaid" they were doing the first experiments on (discovered by the good Dr. from London)----------who had the leeches on her face. She looks (and sounds/her voice) so much like Meryl Streep, it's amazing. I'm not sure of this early actress' name. But, if any of you know if these two are related in any way, please do tell. Thanks!!

I watched the film during the wee hours of the morning. Sorry, but I didn't see the tiniest resemblance between the woman and Meryl Streep. I'm going to rewind and listen for her name in order to figure out who the actress is.

However, she has a major part in the movie, so I had plenty of time to make a mental comparison. I simply do not see a resemblance beyond her being fair and blonde. She doesn't have the facial structure at all. I do a lot of sketching, so I pay a lot of attention to features. For example, I agree with people who compare Audrey Dalton to Debra Paget. There are moments when Audrey looks very much like Debra, particularly in period costumes. See her in "The Monster that Challenged the World" for further comparison; on that IMDb forum, someone posted about the actresses' resemblance.

But, Meryl Streep and the leech lady: I don't see it.

Meryl Streep was twelve years old when "Mr. Sardonicus" was filmed.
