Why wasn't it called 'Baron Sardonicus'?
Wouldn't that be a better title?
shareFor years I thought it was Dr. Sardonicus.

Dr Sardonicus was the name of an excellent Spirit album.
shareYes, but Sardonicus was the name of the Ray Russell story on which it was based. http://www.amazon.com/Sardonicus-Other-Stories-Ray-Russell/dp/B000INWD1S/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1446416159&sr=1-2&keywords=ray+russell+sardonicus
shareNah I think Mr. Sardonicus is more of a dramatic title for a film than Baron Sardonicus.
shareBecause he only bought his barony. The elitist title is slighting him.
shareBecause Merkins don't understand titles. (The UK version was called "Sardonicus".) I think that he correctly signs his name just "Sardonicus" on the document near the end.
