Marilyn is gorgeous in this film. But it looks odd that whenever she has a close up the cameraman seems to use a filter on her. It isn't needed. Gable, Cliff and Wallach's features are all well defined in the camera, but Marilyn is blurred.
OT: I met Joe DiMaggio once in 1990 at a reception for Old Timers at an MLB All-Star game weekend. Was ordering drinks at the bar and hear an old scraggly voice say "Gin & Tonic, please". Look to left and there was Joe D. Nervous as hell, I stick out my hand and say, "Mr. DiMaggio, it's an honor to meet you." He said, "Enjoy the party, kid."
I brought drinks back to my group. But all I could think was, Yes, that was one of the greatest baseball players that ever lived - a hero to a generation. No, all I thought about was that the hand I shook once touched Marilyn Monroe's breasts.
