Probably due to Monty being gay IRL, he was the only male in this movie not to look at her with lust. He LOOKS at her, the person. His character wants her motherly, protective love. He's amazed she cries for him. He's so lonely, they would have been good. But, Gay was a strong caretaker, and Roslyn needed that.
shareI found the performance of Perce very flat. When he says he wishes his father hadn't died it totally lacks emotion.
