The waiter who waits on Marlene Dietrich and spencer in the restaurant looked exactly like roman Polanski does anyone know if it is him?

shareNo way -- dude is too tall and too old. Roman would have been 29 years old at this time, and looked all of 12. See his pictures on this site for reference. The very first one on his page of pictures was taken about 6 years after this film, and he looks way younger than the waiter. He was in France, making pictures at this time, far more interested in directing his own pictures than starring in bit parts in someone else's. Besides, the credit listing says the waiter's Norbert Schiller.
Not Polanski. Too old and besides I've seen the guy in other movies close up. Can't remember the films but you are right in that Polanski at this stage of his life resembles the waiter.
