The statue in Findley's billiard room

Eddie and Bert are at Findley's mansion playing billiards with Findley and we hear this:

Findley: (pointing to a statue in the billiard room) "Have you noticed Bert, this fella here bears a striking resemblance to you? It seems as though you might have modeled for the artist."

Bert: (glancing at the statue) "Possible."

I'm not sure what point the writers were trying to make. Anyone have any ideas?

It was the mythological creature Satyr. Bert does not only resemble him with his facial appearance, it was a hint to his character. He was a trickster without real friends and has no scrupels playing everyone - much alike the Satyr.

It's a statue of Pan, the Pagan Roman God with the horns of a goat and a faun-like resemblance to Satan. It's funny. When Sarah lambastes Bert in the bedroom just before he grabs and forcibly and sexually kisses her and throws money on her bed, she calls him a Roman. "You're a Roman, Bert. You have to win them all."
