any and all pool-playing films/books....

Can anyone give me knowledge of any and all pool-playing films, books, plays, etc... I've seen the obvious: The Hustler, The Color of Money, Poolhall Junkies, and even Stickmen (a list which happens to be exponentially descending in order of greatness); haven't read any books on the matter, though. Thanks. well, maybe the list is not EXPONENTIALLY descending, but still...

yeah, i wanna watch more good pool movies. i know what you mean about descending order of greatness, cause stickmen was just horrible. the only pool book i know of (im sure there are thousands of them) is this old little 99 cent guide on how to play pool by mosconi. its pretty cool and sentimental. i just found out reading the trivia that mosconi had a cameo apparence in the movie, so im gonna go watch it again to see him. make sure you watch the mosconi cup on espn, and i think its in december.

The Baltimore Bullet is a cheesy flick with a terrible storyline but it has some of the best pool players from the 1970's in it and some of the best pool. It also has Mosconi doing announcing in the final tournament of the movie. It is WAY better then Pool Hall Junkies and Stickmen which were both totally useless movies that are NOTHING like the real pool scene and showed absolute crap pool sequences that you would never see a pro level player shoot. At least the CoM was realistic, the pool scene is honestly not far off what you saw in that movie as to the characters and actions. Just forget the con type hustles, they dont work the way they do in the movie. For the most part TH and COM are the only two pool movies that are truely good, the rest are all garbage as far as movies go.
