Part of a Werewolf series?

Is this part of a Werewolf series made by Hammer Film Productions? I have the Universal films. But wondered if people knew if this is a stand alone film or, as I've asked, part of a Werewolf series?

I'm very greatful for any info.

Victims; aren't we all?

I think this is the only werewolf film Hammer made.

They should've made more werewolf films. This would've made for a great series like their Dracula and Frankenstein films.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

They had planned on doing a series of werewolf films but this one was a disaster at the box office so no more were made. Also Oliver Reed hated doing the film. He complained about the makeup nonstop.

It was more about money than actors. The first one bombed so why make another?

True but all the other Hammer horror films were big hits from the first one on. They also had plans to do a Sherlock Holmes series but "Hound of the Baskervilles" bombed so no more were made. At Hammer I guess the attitude was if the first one wasn't successful why bother?
