Ed the Musician: S4E23

I was quite surprised to see Kay Addison make another appearance at the end of Season 4 in “Ed the Musician.” At this point I thought the Addisons were long gone and the Kirkwoods had become the replacement neighbors. Interesting that in this episode there’s no mention of the Kirkwoods, and we get to hear Kay sing a lovely number in her home.

Was this episode aired out of sequence, or were the producers actually considering bringing Kay back? IMO it would’ve been great if Kay stayed as a semi-regular, perhaps appearing every other episode in rotation with the Kirkwoods. After Mister Ed, she was the funniest character! She was a great friend for Carol in comparison to the pitiful Winnie Kirkwood.
