Does anyone know which episode and season Peter Cushing starred in this series?

The only one I can think of is called "Return of the Cybernauts" Season number 6 and episode number 1.

Thanks for reminding me on this one. I had seemed to recall another appearance
but was not really sure. I guess it slipped my mind as I never really cared for "The New Avengers". While it was good to me, it was not great. Did not really care for the threesome effect, as I felt the Steed character took a back seat in this show. Also did not care for the way Purdey did her fighting. The ballet type of kicking, but I guess they had to make it original.
I certainly agree with you on The New Avengers; for the most part it was okay but always well in the shadow of the original series.
