A great play on The Maltese Falcon, once again a huge bodycount and some extreme sadism in places, the gag with the pearl in the wine is terrific. Unusually Steed actually kills the villain by shooting him?
shareThis was a fun episode. The Avengers did many movie spoofs, this time The Maltese Falcon. There is also a fun reference to actor Sydney Greenstreet. Our two bumbling dagger hunters Mr. Sydney Street and Mr. Green. The white actor playing an Asian character definately dates this episode before political correctness, ala Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffanys. The body count in Steed's apartment is comical. Wonder what his neighbors thought! A fun Tara episode.
