I sure hope he got the crap beat out of him in school because good lord he is as annoying as he was when I watched this movie as a kid. I kept praying he that coconut bomb he lit would go off just a little sooner.
shareI think the kids voice is just seriously grating. It's the worst type of whiney high-pitched that is just so jarring, like nails on a chalkboard and it's not flattering, especially for a boy.
He was the same in PollyAnna, couldn't stand him in this. How this kid got so many roles back in the day is beyond me, with that annoying voice and awful attitude he seemed to transend through every role he played.

Shouting and whistling at the dogs when the family was trying to hide from the pirates, he should have been vigorously caned after the battle was over.
