Love this movie! But as I saw in other posts such as "very racist".All movie companies did it as everyone should knows watch a western from the time once. Also saw some one say "demeaning to women". Once again it was made in 1960 can't expect much in that department. But I would love to see it remade updated for the 21 century yes :) no :( So to that I say get to work Disney do what you did with pirates lol!!!!!
I would watch a remake but it would not be as good as the original. Disney has done remakes before(The Parent Trap, Race to Witch Mountain, Freaky Friday, The Shaggy Dog) and they were never as good as the original.

shareDisney does a fairly decent job with remakes of their films, but I don't think this one needs a remake or update. Lost in Space is sort of an updated version of SFR. The family's last name is also Robinson.

The worst recommendation I have ever read with regard to producing a watchable movie.
They would ruin the story if they remade it now. Nowadays, Hollywood is incapable of making a movie set in the past without giving the characters a modern mindset.
