Haw haw!

LOL I only discovered MEF a few months ago. The Breakfast Club one is good too.

reply

I never saw The Breakfast Club so I couldn't really relate to that one, but I did find the one for The Birds funny as well.

I just checked the MEF channel. I'd assumed it was always movies being explained for Millennials, but no! It's movies explained for X where X can be almost anything. I haven't watched any further vids yet, but I'm unlikely to be able to resist watching:
"Penny Serenade explained for heartless a-holes"
"Charade explained for truth seekers"
"A Star Is Born (1937) Explained For Lady Gaga Fans"
"Meet John Doe Explained For Modern Day Americans"
and so on.

Kind of a brilliant idea for an indefinitely extendible youtube channel.

Some of those are pretty funny.

Does he do all of these videos as "Jeb" in a southern accent? It makes all the difference, humor-wise.

I'm not remembering this material verbatim, but I liked such Psycho comments as:

(Sam and Marion in the hotel room) are a "rare lost species" : "sexy people." (I guess that's kind of true; today's superhero movies rarely have time for sexual behavior.)

Marion's drive is the "Stressed Like Hell Express."

Marion is questioned by "Officer Inyaface," and Norman is questioned by "Detective Inyaface"(no relation.)

"Norman is like, are you saying my mother should be in the nuthouse?
"Marion is like: yeah."

Arbogast, Sam and Lila all report on what they know about Marion's whereabouts: "NOTHING" (with all three faces in separate boxes on screen at once.)

Also noteable: "Jeb" says no jokes will be offered during the shower stabbing. So some things ARE sacred.

Pretty funny...off to the other videos...

The 'Jeb' persona appears to be a fixture.

The Hitch-related vids (Charade, The Birds) were especially amusing to me, but the vids for Meet John Doe & The Breakfast Club definitely have their moments.

I'll get to them....glad to hear some "top hits" to look at first!

Back to the Future is good too.

In spite of the fact that it's my favorite movie, it is amusing and truthful:
