This movie is awesome, even for people like me who don't particularly like Doris Day.
shareI loved Doris Day and Rex Harrison in this film. I was astonished at the end when Rex Harrison turned agianst his wife. I thought throw the whole movie that he was actually good until the end. I loved this movie!
shareMy mom gave this movie to me for Christmas one year and I think it's great especially if you love mystery and suspense which I do I'm glad to hear there are others that like this underrated film.

Peggy was his accomplice...She played the tape while Tony was with Kit...Tony explained it to Kit after Peggy came into the house. Then when police came in Peggy's hubby said he suspected something was up between Tony & Peggy & that's why he was nosing around. One problem I have is that if "Scotland Yard" had the line taped then they sure took their sweet time getting there. Tony could've killed everyone & headed out before they got there if all went well for him...

This movie is another of my guilty pleasures. It's kind of corny, but there's something about it that I absolutely love. Doris' performance is a little over the top but I think that's one of the reasons I like it...I think her performance serves this well-worn story pretty effectively. I also have to admit that John Gavin is gorgeous to look at in this film.
shareDoris Day is a bit over the top and childlike in the movie but honestly she was understandably frightened and who knows how any of us would react to such a situation. I do like this movie though-I love suspense,mystery and thriller type movies.

I Too think this is a good film. Doris Day's performance is outstanding in my book. Rex and Mryna are great, too. John Gavin was great to look at!!
I give it a 8 out of 10 score.
Interesting enough plot and gorgeous Technicolor. It´s not bad at all.
