shareWell actors have their "hour in the sun" and get typecast in roles and then turn up in similar parts for a few years and then fall out of favour. The "six degrees of separation" game shows that it is not so much coincidence, just life. However though Midnight Lace may have some flavour of Hitchcock, it is nowhere near a Hitchcock. Hitchcock never made a boring film, this one plots along at a snail pace, and you soon get fed up with Doris wailing all the time - tighter script and much more active direction required.
