I heard 'Give Me That Old Time Religion' so many times in this movie
I actually got sick of it about five minutes in. Such endless repetition...
Your world must have very dry literature.

I actually liked the repetition. It served as a good stylistic means of setting the tone. Similar to the use of "Johnny I hardly knew ye" in Dr. Strangelove, the same melody in different lights adds a sort of overreaching, operatic quality to the film.
All glory to the hypnotoad.
You should hear the Pete Seeger version.
"Let me pray with those old Druids
"They drink fermented fluids
"Run naked through the woo-ids
"That's good enough for me."
