What happened to the two vampiresses?
They seemed to be just forgotten about, so unsatisfactory and disappointing.
It is a wonder the genre ever recovered after this very weak production

They either burned in the mill or escaped, and if they did that, I'm sure Van Helsing tracked them down later.
shareThe fact that Van Helsing and Marianne stand and watch the windmill burn is a good indication that the two vampire brides are trapped within and perish. Otherwise the film would not have ended with his mission unaccomplished.
I assumed they died when he did. That's usually how it works in vampire movies. When the "master" vampire dies the slaves typically do as well.
shareThey were left alive for the sequel, which never came about because Christopher Lee came back to the franchise as Dracula himself.

They ran out the same exit that Van Helsing and Marianne did, pretty much one after the other.
It made no sense. I thought the two vampiresses would have tried to attack and/or chase Van Helsing.
But the next scene has Van Helsing and Marianne making their way out to a ledge.
Maybe there was a scene where the two vampiresses met their doom at the hands of Van Helsing - only the scene was cut?
