Not the finest plot ever

I'm just watching this movie, and i'm not so convinced about the plot :

1) The whole concept about apartment sharing is quiet weird... this is showing a whole society only concerned with cheating and amusing itself, it's a bit too much.
2) I think after Fran's breakdown, the whole recovery scene is a bit weak. The length is due only to the fact that the scenario has to stress the gravity of the previous action. Dreyfus, and Lemmon are just annoying me here with coffee/sleep and razor blade.

3) It takes them so long to fall in love, they are on the verge to miss the most important part, the romance. One could argue that romance ends the comedy, but characters have to show such an amount of insensitivity that it's hard to follow...

But i like the office background, it reminds me "Upside down" for example. So i will finish the movie right now.

EDIT : The end is better, i'm not used to such "dark" comedies. I won't forget it...

Another good thing about this movie is the reference to "Grand Hotel", i'm still not sure exactly why, maybe for the overall trouble/shadowed atmosphere, or for the fact his apartment is used as an hotel, with huge turnover.

My problem with the movie is just how unrealistic it seems. I mean, in terms of everything that happens after Fran attempts suicide. Their interactions just don't seem believable at all.
