Lovely movie and the TV movie scene is priceless!

How to get comedy and emotion across to a viewer is something that is subjective over the course of time but contetwise (see what I did there?) this movie is a lovely little story set in the quintessential big city with a funny lead and a great female lead in Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine.

The scene where Baxter is waiting for 'Grand Hotel' to play cracked me up as it is something that I think a lot of people can relate to even now.

9/10

I agree 100%- this is one of my favorite movies. Love the scene where he is cooking, also the one in the bar.

And every cat in the twilight’s gray,
Every possible cat."
