Very Few Standout Episodes

No wonder a top-ten set was released after the entire (horrendously overpriced) series
came out.

"Pigeons From Hell" is justly famous, as is "The Weird Tailor." So many others don't
even warrant a second viewing. And some of the so-called "classic" episodes are
not nearly as good as people would like to remember (the highly uneven "The Cheaters"
comes to mind).

This was a classy, expensive show, and the wonderful Boris Karloff was great fun. But
even he couldn't save the truly awful episodes that seem to predominate the series.

Doesn't hold one's interest the way other anthology shows like "Twilight Zone" and "Outer Limits" do.

I would say about 20 of the 60+ episodes could truly be called thrillers. Too many uninteresting crime dramas slow down the overall series.

i am in season 1. i was expecting more of a horror series not crime.

I am told season 2 is better than season 1.
