Ambience is the KEY

There is no question that this show has "mood" down pat and in spades;

the b\w works so well with the stories which sometimes have gothic themes.If not outright gothic tales they embellish the other tales w\ a gothic slant !

That is why clean prints are essential to see the nice visual camera pan out a scene which produces a story w\in a story.

There is simply no show out there to compare w\Thriller at its best nothwithstanding the non Horror ones.Even some of the latter Episodes are well done and are somewhat suspenseful.

-But to recreate this show now would be well nigh impossible : No Karloff, the old Black and White; composers such as Goldsmith,Ruggolo,Smith; creative imagination which doesn't have to be graphic or explicit as they portray nowadays.

So here's a toast to a bonafide Classic-R.I.P.
