Boris Karloff's "Thriller&quot ;

This show has to be one of my all time favorites shows during the '60s. I have some episodes but I sure wish they'd release a lot more. There were so many that were really great, creepy, spooky, etc.. What a great show and very imaginative. I love it! LillyCats

Wholeheartedly agree! I first learned of this series when my older sister related an episode to me after seeing it while babysitting. The episode was "The Purple Room", with Rip Torn, Richard Anderson and Patricia Blair. That made the hair on my neck stand straight up! The series was filmed at Revue studios, later known as Universal, and several of the episodes featured the Bates house from Psycho. Other great episodes include "The Cheaters", "The Hungry Glass", and "Dialogues With Death". I bought all six of the Video released episodes, but those don't even come close to showcasing the true brilliance of the storytelling. In the mid '90s, the Sci-Fi channel broadcast most (if not all) of the episodes during the wee hours (3am) on Fridays and Saturdays for several months. I was working afternoons at the time and got to re-experience what a remarkable show it was. Cpt D.

THRILLER was a true timeless classic! Great storytelling, literate scripts and a dark compelling atmosphere. The endings were always terrifying, and left me with plenty of nightmares.

Universal should release all the episodes in a DVD Box Set.

i remember when i was a kid, there was this crossword magazine laying on the table with karloff in it, funny it seem like just this morning, well anyway it was karloff as frankensteins monster, think it was of him in a doorway, and i thought it was just the scariest thing, i don't think i saw the actual movie until much later.

hold the plans for tonight,
since that woman came walking out,
standing steady on the ground,
i was just about to call it a day,
when she broke out of her shell of gray,
my chin nearly dropped like a math degree,
out walks about the naughtiest thing santa ever did see,
her top of christmas green,
but a skirt shorter than your friend bonnies,
i didn't even see what weather it was outdoors,
how dare you be so naughty with holiday up close,
but i won't tell santa of that little naughty scene,
this is a christmas gift for pete,
since that woman walked out like a madeup christmas tree,
lighting my fuse in this little midnight treat.
