'Or my name isn't Boris Karloff...'

Well, ironically, it wasn't, and Karloff must've gotten a chuckle every time he said that line - he never legally changed his name and remained William Henry Pratt until his death - contracts were signed "William Henry Pratt a/k/a 'Boris Karloff'" which leads me to wonder if his daughter Sara actually legalized her name to 'Karloff'?

That IS interesting and must have been what she did.

In Sara's own words, from an interview, "He never changed his name to Boris Karloff. It was an AKA, and so he signed all his legal documents William Henry Pratt aka Boris Karloff. So I actually was the only legal Karloff because on my birth certificate I was Sara Jane Karloff Pratt."

Yes, Sara isn't actually legally a Karloff EITHER (middle names don't count). She's just a publicity whore who tries to exploit the famous name.
