Lethal Ladies - Miss Quimby
I just finished watching this. A good thing I set my recorder (almost forgot all about it). Excellent non-horror ep. Had to make a comment.
Rosemary Murphy was very skillful at playing two different kinds of lethal ladies, but I really liked her Miss Quimby, in the much better story. Obviously more likeable, her meek and unassuming character was more interesting - and attractive, sexy in her own quiet way.
This ep includes Howard Morris, before he was Ernest T. Bass.
But since that first story was so lame, I think they actually could have gotten away with just one, extending the Quimby/Mr. Bliss story to forty-five min. Bliss (Morris) would have been an even creepier jerk, and thus even far more deserving of his fate. And some additional indignities forced upon Quimby would have made you root for her even more than you do.
Maybe we could have seen a little more of cute Jackie Joseph as well.
Great inevitably fatal comeuppance for Bliss.
For those unfamiliar, catch Lethal Ladies the next time around. But if you miss that first story, don't worry about it (you ain't missing much). Don't miss that second one though.
