The death of Ozzy

Tonight''s episode was emotional, with the scenes with Kirk, Beth and Maria. Maria's friend was there as well, but i don't know her name because i'm an occasional viewer.

Great acting by all. Very sad scene.

Yes I too found it hard to bear. I think it resonates with most, if not all animal lovers when such scenes are incorporated. I don't lean towards so-called chick-flicks but one Christmas, Mum and I were playing Scrabble when the film "Marley & Me" came on the TV and we got watching it. I cried buckets over that. I've been witness to several cats being put to sleep over the years and it never gets any easier because selfishly, we want to delay the inevitable to say our goodbyes. Very sad that Ozzy had cancer but I believe someone on the production team reads this board and I think one person was bemoaning the fact that Ozzy was hardly ever seen.

This is a common mistake in soap land - they bring pets and kids on board but nobody seems to have any involvement with them. Liam is clearly parenting himself and Ozzy was evidently taking himself out for walks 

I avoided the past two episodes.
Wellard's death in EE was sad enough !

I dread watching this.

It was ridiculously done fast. Within the space of two days the vet managed to:

* Diagnose Ozzy with cancer
* Put him to sleep the next day
* Then instant cremation and ashes returned the day after his death

Complete nonsense.

Also,the cancer was advanced and Ozzy was seen happily eating his tea, with no problems at all. I would've thought he would've had no appetite.

I am an animal lover so found it sad.

Yeah it was a little unrealistic watching him pant and scoff his tea and wag his tail..... but I guess you can't exactly tell a dog to "act sick" lol

Heartbreaking scenes though, especially for any pet owners out there. You can talk about how they've been given "a great life" all you want, but at the end of the day it can't take away the fact that it stings like hell when you can no longer see or cuddle them anymore.
