I would find Amy funny if the actress wasn't so wooden. I know she's only young, but they need to give her some acting lessons.

Time for her to be "listening to her tapes" for a while (or the modern equivalent) and then she can return in 2018 with a new face.
In fairness, acting is hard and the majority of people can't do it. In the case of a child who's been in the role for many years, it's often unclear whether they have aptitude until they start getting decent storylines, or begin featuring heavily in other characters' major storylines. Sometimes they get better with practice; maybe this will happen here.
