A space teen named DEREK??? C'mon! Why not Tab or Troy or Rock?? Spock, Gort, Zontar -- something! But Derek?! Jeez!

...The evil robotic aliens on "Dr. Who" were called Daleks. The ones that looked like R2D2's evil brother and were all ways saying "terminate" in a electronic voice. They were nasty buggers.

People are just getting dumber, but more opinionated-Ernestine (Silks) in "The Human Stain"

Yeah, I know, "Daleks" was a cool name, very metallic and robotic. "Derek" is the newspaper delivery kid down the street. I never met anybody named Dalek.
