share Yeah the premise very good but the material .... good grief. Arthur Kennedy is also a great pro and the cast very strong but couldn't overcome that script.
Somewhat similar to "Picnic" in that it had the music and teriffic acting but the stories were tough to take. "Picnic" does the better job.

This was set in the 50's and that's how the "morality" was. This movie could never be made today.
