Seriously--Helen was such a vicious evil woman! More than once I felt like yelling at the TV--"Slug her one Molly! She deserves it!" I'm against violence but if anyone deserved to be hit it was her.

I think she was a combo. She was a cold cruel woman who tried to control her poor daughter and, as her husband said, "desex" her. When she had her daughter examined by the doctor after she was stranded on the island...that was going too far.
shareI'm with you, Molly should've knocked her teeth out. I did have to wonder what happened to Helen to make her so anti-sex. I even wondered if Mr. Jorgenson was too rough with her or something, like back when they conceived Molly. Or maybe Helen suffered abuse when she was growing up. Who knows.
I think it was her upbringing. Remember the phone call to her mother? It's pretty obvious that her mother was telling her what to do.
