Max Steiner's very familiar music is brilliant.


Max Steiner was the godson of Richard Strauss, a piano student of Brahms, and studied composition with Gustav Mahler. But late in his career he wrote this very charming and entirely unpretentious popular music.

Just got his soundtrack for "Rome Adventure" and cannot stop playing it. Beautiful music.

Movie girl: I love this music too! For that reason I first taped the film when our VCR was new. This is wonderful info. to know! Max was the godson of Richard Strauss, a piano student of Brahms! What a marvelous background and the music strikes a wonderful chord throughout.
