First anti-homphobic movie ever?
I mean, the ending really gave me that thought. The guy found out that the "she" was actually a "he", but didn't even care and kissed him anyway. Now I wonder how THAT passed the censors?? :)

Or...is it the first (and only?) "pro-rape" movie ever?
"You can't have sex with me, I'm a man"
"Well, I'm gonna have sex with you anyway".
(Laughter)
Awight we're The Daamned we're a punk baand and this is called Carn't Be Appy T'day!
oh give me a break with this rape culture flavor of the month crap will ya?
shareI don't know where you get the idea that he kissed Jack Lemmon after learning he was a man. Didn't happen.
His response of "Nobody's perfect" was a ridiculous, funny punchline to end a great screwball comedy. He was on autopilot, and just in denial that anything Lemmon said could deter him from marriage.
He was on autopilot, and just in denial that anything Lemmon said could deter him from marriage.Exactly! There was no kiss!
I never saw a kiss at the ending in that scene...only Osgood said was "Nobody's perfect" when Jack's character revealed that she is actually a he. :)
shareThere was no kiss. Also, JOE says many times that it would be ridiculous for 2 men to get married.
