Aurora's Legs and Feet

I'm watching this for the first time in years and I was noticing that her legs and feet are a much darker color than her face and hands. At first I thought she was wearing high boots, but they showed a close up of her feet while she was dancing and she's barefoot. So I guess they forgot to match her skin tones. LOL

She could be wearing stocking, or maybe its just the shadow of her dress.

She could be wearing stocking,

For comparison, that's the explanation I got from somebody who claimed to be in the know regarding the strange appearance of Cinderella's feet in most scenes (when she's shoeless)--they're not actually bare, she's wearing sheer/skin-colored stockings. And indeed, this would explain the lack of visible toes as well as the odd shapes.

However, I don't think that Aurora is wearing stockings--her feet appear to be bare, just oddly colored (along with her legs). So it's still an unexplained--and extremely obscure --mystery.

Darker and redder, which I've always thought made Aurora look as though she had poor circulation. 

That's right, she's one of Disney's nature-girls , and unlike in Cinderella the animators actually bothered to pencil in some toes in a few frames.

I think the odd discoloring of Aurora's legs and feet is due to mishaps in the remastering process. If you look at older prints of "Sleeping Beauty" (pre-DVD era) her legs and feet are not mis-colored.
