Instead of hiding in the woods....
Why didn't the King and Queen keep Aurora at the palace, raise her themselves, and simply keep her locked up on her sixteenth birthday? Milicent said Aurora would prick her finger on her sixteenth birthday, so to me it doesn't make sense to keep her away for sixteen years if only one day is of concern. The movie would've required some tweeking, but they still could've had Milicent lure Aurora to the spindle, the fairies put everyone to sleep, and of course the epic battle at the end. I think keeping Aurora at home and developing her relationship with her parents and Phillip would've made the film more interesting.
Reid and Goren fic in one spot! Enjoy!
