I agree. Roberta Shore was absolutely delectable as the extremely fetching Franceska.

Roberta Shore (or as her friends call her, "Jymmie") did pretty well as a kid/teen star. The Shaggy Dog is a take off on the Mickey Mouse Club serial Annette. It was SO popular, that it basically shot Annette Funicello's career into orbit. Scoring her first 45rpm solo release, which sold 160,000 copies without any radio airplay. Jymmie also made rock records and was featured on American Bandstand, but she remained a minor kid/teen star. If you like her in Shaggy Dog, catch her in the Annette serial, which is basically the same role. Jymmie's main claim to fame I believe, was when she was cast in the TV show The Virginian, as a regular. Yes, Roberta had it all. That's why she made it as far as she did.

But in her introduction scene when she turned her back to the camera in that pencil skirt and bent over to talk to the dog I realized that was not accidental...that was practically sexual exploitation...especially considering it was just the 1950's. ....and here is Disney promoting family values .
