In the scene where Chance brings the package over to Carlos and he gets into that little argument with Consuela, what does she say to herself after Carlos and Chance go upstairs to examine the goods? whats it mean?

I never tried to translate it word-for-word, but the gist was "Did he eat it, or didn't he? I'll see!" (Referring to her remark about "the cat who swallowed the chicken.")

I don't speak Spanish but with the help of closed captioning and a translator, I worked out that she said something along the lines of:

Either he ate the chicken or he didn't. I'm going to watch.

She is basically saying either he ate it, or he didn't eat it (the cat that ate the chicken), she is going to keep her eye on him (vihilar= be vigilant)
