The female actress was great in this

in the scene where she freaks out after she had thrown the flowerpot through the window and drinks alcohol to help herself relax, she was acting spectacularly

She is also a complete knock-out. The young Angie Dickinson was a rare beauty. And she remained a stunner well into the 1980s.

I disagree. She had very small breasts and only an average body overall. Nice face though.

Totally disagree. I just saw this for the first time and did a double take that that was actually Angie Dickinson. I agree she was a stunner in this. Whatta waist! And those legs!

But all I could think of was how broken down and old she looked as Police Woman just 15-20 years later when she was only in her mid-40s. Yikes. Total boner killer, especially for a horny young teenager (me.)

But hey, more for you, right?

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I was reading a review earlier that said Dickinson's was essentially the one bad performance in Rio Bravo - I disagreed wholeheartedly, wondering if that reviewer's opinion was a popular one...glad to see I'm not the only one who loved Angie in this film...frankly, her roles in films, great films that are revisited often, are too few and far between. Wish there were more I could say I've seen. I remember her in Police Woman, and knew my grandfather thought she was a hot number, but, based on that show only, I remember wondering what ll the fuss was. She was a rare beauty though, glad I can see it now. Again, lode her performance in Rio Bravo. Off The top of my head, the only Other role I remember her in, clearly, was Point Blank...she was good in that too.

She deserved a nomination (who cares about awards, though?) for just that scene alone. Her performance is very good overall.

Oh, and I'd like to mention that she was a fox in this. ;)

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

She was hot...a casting coup!

If you are an Angie Dickinson fan then check her out in Big Bad Mama and also in Pretty Maids All In A Row! She's awesome!

Cary Grant: 55 (Probably playing a guy who was 40)
Eva Marie Saint: 35 but she was playing a character who was 26.

Nope. Grant's age is correct, but Eva Marie Saint (who is still alive) was only 24 when this was filmed.

BTW, this discussion reminds me of a later Cary Grant film. In Charade, Grant (then 59) was so uncomfortable with a romance with Audrey Hepburn (34) that the film was rewritten to have Hepburn pursue him.
