Male Lion Roaring in Central Park Zoo
When I moved to NY in 1959, I visited Central Park Zoo and was put into
shock by their male lion roaring at me 10 ft away as I stepped into the lion house. I hear him again whenever I see Harry Belafonte in this movie (1959) waiting
to make a phone call. I recognize that lion's voice - he's waiting my return.
By the way this is a great movie. Gloria Grahame superb as neighbor woman
asking Robert Ryan to babysit.
