Why did everyone want to go to the Congo? It seemed like all the sisters were centered around being the ones who got to go to the Congo. Why? Weren't there nursing sisters needed in Antwerp? Thanks!

The Congo was Belgium at the time, going to Africa is an adventure and a place where a sister can really work and do more good than the city, its their chance to get away.
