I could see Kiera Knightley as Gabrielle/Sister Luke and Judi Dench as one of the mother superiors. Anyone else have ideas?

Keira Knightley has much less appeal. Natalie Portman would be better though I guess she wouldnt do a nun's role as she's already been offered a similar role in doubt and has rejected. Judi Dench sounds good though.

Keira would be my first choice, then Carey Mulligan maybe. Anne Hathaway is too extroverted to do it convincingly and Portman I just dont like.

God, I hope NOT. I am sick of re-makes. Can't anyone come up with something original? Three quarters of the time re-makes are crap. I don't understand why Hollywood keeps doing them.
