Conversation in Japanese in the movie

Does anyone know what the old lady tells the Japanese lover, when they are seated next to each other on a bench towards the end of the movie ? They have a short conversation in Japanese but it was not translated.

She asks him what nationality the girl was, and he replied French. Then she asked him whether she was ill, and he replied yes.

Anthony-23 got it wrong, unfortunately.

The actual translation is as follows:

- Who is she? (Where's she from?)
- A Frenchwoman. (She's French)
- What's the matter? (Is she ill?)
- No. She's leaving Japan in a little while. We love each other and are sad we
have to part.
